We are upon a very busy season of the year. I am looking at the next few weeks and wondering how to get through.In the middle of being so busy I am tempted to wish this Christmas season through and be done with it. This morning I was going over Isaac's copy and memory work with him. I have chosen Isaiah 9:1-7. I read that and immediately realized my sin. So, instead of downsizing my Sabbath feasting to save time I should be making it even more special as we celebrate the hope which comes in Christ. Yes, I should and will cut out a few obligations, but we will not cheat on the celebrating!
6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
